Joelle and Alan's inspiration was textural, colorful, and modern - their emphasis was on bringing unique touches that showed their personality to their wedding day and they wanted the florals to feel sculptural and interesting. As we explored ideas and palettes together we discovered that dynamic shapes such as anthuriums and bells of Ireland, playful and whimsical flowers such as sandersonia and scabiosa, and cascading elements such as amaranthus and orchids, were the things they gravitated towards. The fun for us as designers was creating unique centerpieces, with each vase having a limited number of different types of blooms and color palette, that harmonized as you looked around the room.
