Juliana and Antonio loved the elegant but effortless charm of Blue Hill and we wanted to find ways for the flowers to echo the spirit of the venue. We looked through a lot of photos together and kept coming back to one which had grasses and textures punctuated by more sculptural blooms. It felt unfussy and cool with the bold colors and graphic shapes and mimicked the ample garden beds at the venue. We followed this inspiration direction for the aisle, keeping things very textural with grasses, ferns, and small blooms. Large globe and schubertii allium really stood out against this design and created a dynamic pathway to their altar, which was a statement-making backdrop for Juiliana and Antonio's vows filled with lush, cascading orchids. The arrangements for the reception introduced some warm pops of peaches, coral, and yellow and we wanted to keep the design fun and expressive with gestural stems, unique flowers, and asymmetrical shapes. Unexpected prints, patterns, and pops of color made the design feel chic and romantic while fitting in perfectly to the garden-like feeling.
